Looking for a coffee table, why not consider a Reclaimed wood coffee table?
When it comes to Reclaimed wood coffee tables there is not only a unique quality but also an environmental consciousness that follows a long with it. Here are some reasons that you might want
to consider a reclaimed barn wood coffee table in your decision making.
A Coffee Table made of Reclaimed wood is just that, reclaimed. Therefore, all or most of the lumber used did not call for recent trees to be cut to provide the product.
2.) Warmth and stress free
Perhaps my favorite part to a reclaimed wood coffee table is that it not only has a warmth to it but is also stress free in comparison to other new wood choices. For instance, a Reclaimed wood coffee table may be constructed from wood from a turn of the century barn. You will have natural distress and weathered markings. So if the table gets nicked or slightly damaged, oh well an added character mark.
3.) Thicker lumber last longer
Unlike other newer furniture such as imports, reclaimed wood tends to be about 3/4 " of an inch thick. If it ever needs sanding or restoration, the restorer can sand away without worry. This will enable a good quality barnwood piece of furniture to last quite a long time.
4.) Beauty and uniqueness
A Reclaimed wood coffee table will certainly have the most unique coloration and character. From nail holes and the coloration around the former nails to the many tones that only years and years of weathering can create. Beautiful. It is like an Oyster, you never know what the piece of wood will actually look like until it is refined.
5.) Hi story and Conversation
If only a barn or old building could talk! There is so much historical value to a Reclaimed wood coffee table. This lumber is actually getting more and more scarce as well. When it is gone it is gone. In addition, a nicely done Reclaimed barnwood coffee table will give quite the conversation piece.
